In order to demonstrate my abilities in business and Japanese I have prepared multiple coursework samples that showcase the various contexts in which I have used the knowledge I have gained at Clemson University.

Business-related Samples

A detailed analysis of how 見える化 (AKA visualization). A technique Japanese businesses use to condense complicated information into an easy to understand format to save time and space.

An analysis of Japan's economic situation and the history leading up to it. Specifically discussing the details of how Japan has managed the value of yen and it's inflation over the past 50 years and why Japan still struggles to grow it's economy.

Literature and Culture Samples

A translation o the short story, "In a Grove". Demonstrates comprehension of Japan's historical culture like the importance of a man's honor and woman's shame, and capability to convey the nuances of Japanese's methods of expressing formality and tone into English.

A script describing Japan's New Year's various cultural traditions in terms of gift-giving and activities in contrast to the United States'. (Written in Japanese)

Japanese Linguistic Samples

A summary of Studio Ghibli's Porco Rosso, as well as a review and personal interpretations of it's themes.
